Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), you will have the responsibility for:

• Facilitating Group Therapy: Lead engaging group sessions for young adults, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere where clients can share experiences and cultivate mutual understanding.
• Providing Individual Therapy: Deliver personalized counseling that allows clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and individual behaviors, helping them to develop actionable coping strategies.
• Collaborating on Treatment Planning: Work closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and aspirations, promoting a sense of ownership and engagement in their recovery journeys.
• Progress Monitoring: Utilize various assessment tools to track client progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs effectively.
• Team Collaboration: Regularly interact with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, consult on complex cases, and share insights that contribute to the overall success of our programs and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with young adults aged 18 to 30 who are dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and transitional life stressors. This role allows you to directly impact the lives of individuals who are often at a crucial turning point in their journey towards mental wellness.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).
• Demonstrated clinical competence and a solid understanding of individual and group therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working with young adults and knowledge in contemporary therapeutic practices, including trauma-informed care, is highly desirable. Familiarity with treatment planning and assessment tools will be beneficial to your success in this role.
