Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will undertake the following core responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop individualized treatment approaches tailored to their unique needs.

• Formulate, implement, and regularly update treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, employing methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions that guide patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies to foster healing and growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated care, contributing to a holistic approach that addresses both mental and physical health aspects.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and trauma-responsive strategies.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available for ongoing support and recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards while using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress.

• Participate in case consultations, engage in team meetings, and embrace ongoing professional development centered around trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of individuals facing various trauma-related challenges. Your clients may include survivors of abuse, domestic violence, combat veterans, and others experiencing the complexities of PTSD and other trauma-induced disorders. Your expertise and empathetic approach will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of New Jersey.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences are strongly preferred:

Compensation and Benefits\n
