Position Overview

SpringLeaf Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Paterson, New Jersey. This role is integral to empowering our patients to regain mobility and achieve their highest level of function. As a Physical Therapist, you will engage in comprehensive care, focusing on the promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Paterson facility, which boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a well-designed therapy space conducive to effective rehabilitation. Our team comprises experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, working cohesively to support one another while striving to enhance the quality of care we provide. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a manageable caseload designed to maintain quality over quantity.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized therapy plans that align with their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver one-on-one treatments while managing a patient load effectively, averaging one patient per hour.
• Utilize a range of evidence-based practices in manual therapy, exercise regimens, and rehabilitation techniques.
• Provide education to patients regarding their conditions and the role of physical therapy in their recovery.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs that enhance mobility and promote a healthy lifestyle.
• Track and document patient progress through detailed records, ensuring transparent communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes, including referrals for additional interventions when needed.
• Advocate for patient-centered care by motivating patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments regularly, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure the highest standards of rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery and musculoskeletal injuries. The patient demographic ranges widely, offering you the opportunity to work with individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and activity levels. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Ability to demonstrate high ethical standards in practice, with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, such as WebPT, to manage patient records and treatment data.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated skills in manual therapy techniques and developing exercise plans tailored to individual patients.
• Extracurricular activities or certifications related to physical therapy may be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
