Work Environment\n

This role will be performed predominantly in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while ensuring accessibility for our patients. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, meticulously evaluating each patient’s trauma history to formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment strategies that emphasize trauma recovery and the building of resilience.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, providing essential, immediate assistance to patients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their family members about trauma responses and available coping strategies, enhancing their understanding of the healing process.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accurate patient records.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care.
\n
• Continuously update knowledge on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to refine therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on adult patients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a crucial role in their recovery journey, helping them navigate their emotions and develop effective strategies for managing trauma's impact on their everyday lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting, with a strong focus on trauma-related disorders.
\n
• In-depth understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building techniques.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm and collected in high-pressure situations, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in digital communication tools.
\n
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience conducting group therapy sessions and collaborating with community resources for patient support.

Compensation and Benefits\n
