Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical therapy needs to develop individualized treatment goals and plans.
• Utilize standardized assessment tools to evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status, and actively engage in the development of a total care plan.
• Implement treatment interventions using evidence-based practices that support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises, preventive measures, and wellness strategies to enhance recovery and maintain health.
• Coordinate with physicians and the patient care team to manage patient progress and adapt care plans as necessary.
• Oversee the delivery of care, including instructing patients and caregivers in the use of therapeutic appliances and equipment for effective home practice.
• Manage caseload effectively by prioritizing patients and ensuring continuity of care throughout their treatment processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will primarily serve adult patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic ailments that affect mobility and quality of life. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with pediatric patients, addressing a spectrum of conditions. Your expertise will guide patients through their rehabilitation process, promoting independence and enhancing overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within the first 30 days post-employment.

Preferred Experience

While no specific experience is required, a minimum of two years' experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with outpatient care protocols and rehabilitation methodologies is advantageous.
