Work Environment

This position is onsite and primarily focused on home care, which means you will visit patients in the comfort of their residences. This setting allows you to offer personalized therapy that fits their daily routines and unique circumstances. We foster a collaborative atmosphere where therapists work closely with other healthcare providers to support patient recovery holistically. You will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured yet fulfilling work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand each patient's needs and treatment objectives, developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Administer effective therapies to improve patients' physical function and mobility, focusing on cost-effective solutions that minimize reliance on medications.
• Maintain an optimal patient load by managing one patient per hour, ensuring individualized attention and care.
• Implement varied therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, to enhance range of motion and mobility.
• Design and execute customized exercise and wellness programs aimed at promoting overall health, strength, balance, and coordination.
• Track and evaluate patient progress meticulously, documenting outcomes to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Communicate consistently with patients, encouraging their engagement in the healing process, while also collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest physical therapy advancements and methodologies to continuously enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. This role involves working with a diverse demographic, from athletes to elderly clients, each with unique needs and treatment timelines. Providing compassionate care tailored to each individual is essential, as you will guide them towards achieving their physical therapy goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Master's or Doctorate degree preferred).
• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Solid foundation in manual therapy techniques and a strong understanding of exercise program design.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT or similar software.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings, with a demonstrable history of successful patient outcomes.
• Knowledge and experience in designing new treatment protocols based on best practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with patients and healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
