Work Environment

This position is performed onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, designed to optimize patient recovery through advanced therapies and comprehensive care strategies. Working Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, our team collaborates closely, sharing expertise and resources to promote a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation. We focus on engaging and empowering our staff to deliver top-tier treatment in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct patient care interventions tailored to orthopedic needs, focused on preventing disabilities, relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and maintaining optimal performance in line with the established treatment plan.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of each patient's functional abilities utilizing a variety of diagnostic tests, including but not limited to assessments on muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises while guiding and motivating patients through non-manual exercises and functional activities to enhance their recovery process.
• Utilize physical agents, traction, and massage techniques to improve patient outcomes and aid in recovery.
• Evaluate and recommend adjustments to any prescribed prosthetic and orthotic devices, ensuring proper fit and function, while collaborating with physicians for modification suggestions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily cater to orthopedics, addressing a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes requiring rehabilitation, and older adults managing chronic conditions. Engaging with each client on a personal level will be essential to tailor effective treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, candidates with a Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program are strongly preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist is mandatory to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in orthopedic settings, acute care, geriatrics, or outpatient therapy is vital for successful candidate selection.
• Strong proficiency in orthopedic assessments and therapeutic techniques, along with effective patient care planning is essential to excel in this role.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are critical to successful collaborations with patients and colleagues.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems will enhance your ability to document progress and share information efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional experience in specialized areas such as sports rehabilitation, post-operative recovery protocols, or geriatric physical therapy could be beneficial. Experience with advanced treatment modalities may offer an advantage in providing enhanced patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
