Moon Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Oakland, California. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in helping our patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through personalized treatment plans and evidence-based interventions. In collaborating with a small yet experienced group of physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, your expertise will directly contribute to our patients' physical health and rehabilitation outcomes.

Work Environment

This onsite position entails working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a collaborative and professional environment. The facility fosters a culture of support, continuous learning, and teamwork among staff and healthcare professionals. Our approach focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation, making use of innovative techniques and the latest advancements in physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the individual needs of each patient, allowing for tailored treatment plans that address specific recovery goals.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, delivering focused and effective care during each session.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and technologies to facilitate mobility enhancement while minimizing reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Develop evidence-based exercise regimens that promote functional abilities, addressing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document patient progress thoroughly, maintaining clear communication on treatment methods and outcomes.
• Motivate and educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, ensuring they understand the link between physical therapy and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient-centered care.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring continuous progress towards patient recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center primarily caters to a diverse patient population with various orthopedic conditions, recovering from surgeries, injuries, and ongoing mobility challenges. Your role will involve addressing the unique needs of each individual, helping them reestablish their functional capacity and return to their daily activities with confidence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Valid California State physical therapy license with no disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and comprehensive exercise program development.
• Experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline administrative processes and patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous employment in a fast-paced orthopedic rehabilitation facility with a proven track record of positive patient outcomes.
• Experience conducting specialized training sessions focused on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
