This position allows you to work remotely, providing flexibility while still engaging closely with a supportive team. Our outpatient clinic is designed to be a welcoming space for both staff and patients, where collaboration and communication are prioritized. You will have the opportunity to schedule your workweek from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs, ensuring you maintain a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, age-appropriate mental health assessments to identify the psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider developmental milestones and family structures, thereby enhancing therapeutic outcomes.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address a spectrum of mental health issues, offering both individual and family therapy sessions.

• Engage parents and caregivers in family therapy, facilitating the creation of nurturing home environments that support the child’s mental health.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention when needed, ensuring timely support for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, possible treatment approaches, and available community support resources.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in regular team meetings and case discussions, contributing to a collaborative learning environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents, ranging from toddlers to young adults in their late teens. You will encounter diverse cases regarding various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral problems. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in building trust and rapport with young clients, enabling effective therapy and positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Illinois.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing your competence in dealing with child and adolescent mental health issues.

• A strong foundation in developmental psychology and knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies relevant to treating youth.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to connect empathically with children, adolescents, and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
