Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Blomquist Hale Behavioral Health, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the trauma histories of clients and tailoring appropriate treatment plans.

• Implementing individualized treatment strategies focused on fostering resilience and promoting successful trauma recovery.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitating therapeutic sessions focused on helping clients process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms for their healing journey.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and holistic care approaches for clients.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to assist those in acute distress.
\n
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses, available resources, and efficient coping strategies.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring ethical practice and confidentiality.

• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care methodologies.

• Staying informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to consistently enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be clients grappling with the effects of complex trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. You will work with a diverse range of individuals who may experience various psychological and emotional challenges as a result of their trauma. Your expertise will help guide these clients toward healing and personal growth, enabling them to regain control over their lives.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Compassionate interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and connection with clients.

• A composed demeanor in high-pressure situations, allowing for effective crisis intervention when necessary.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with strong clinical backgrounds and trauma-focused therapy experience will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits\n
