Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and identify the most effective treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing trauma, mastering coping techniques, and promoting overall healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and coordinating care to ensure comprehensive support for every patient.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, guiding clients towards stabilization and safety.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma symptoms, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
• Maintain thorough and accurate records in compliance with legal confidentiality standards, ensuring ethical practices are upheld.
• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives aimed at improving trauma-informed care delivery.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in trauma treatment methodologies to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will be centered around individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will have the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these individuals by guiding them toward healing in a compassionate and understanding manner. Our clients often face significant emotional challenges, and your role as a therapist will be integral in providing them with the skills and support needed to navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMHC, LMFT, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Proven experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on empathy and a non-judgmental attitude.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with trauma-informed care and working with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices for trauma recovery.
• Skills in crisis management and intervention techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
