Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining essential connections with clients and colleagues. With a typical Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will have the opportunity to manage your time effectively while being responsive to patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, facilitating initial evaluations to gather comprehensive histories regarding patients' traumas and mental health challenges.

• Develop, implement, and regularly assess individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and utilize evidence-based practices focused on resilience building.
\n
• Deliver therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), both in individual and group settings.

• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, providing timely and effective support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a seamless integration of care for our patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their family members on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of available resources that foster healing.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
\n
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development focusing on trauma-informed practices and therapy advancements.

• Continuously update knowledge of the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy and mental health interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and a range of dissociative disorders. This role requires sensitivity and compassion as you guide clients through their healing processes, striving to empower them along their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.
\n
• Proven proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting, promoting integrated patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ post-licensure experience working in mental health, particularly in trauma-focused settings.

• Hands-on experience with trauma-focused therapies and demonstrated success in facilitating healing for trauma survivors.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress scenarios, accurately assessing immediate needs of clients in crisis.

Compensation and Benefits\n

El Gloria Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range between USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
