Work Environment

This position is based in Hillsborough, New Jersey, offering a unique opportunity to provide care in a home setting. Working onsite allows you to engage directly with patients in a familiar environment, facilitating better outcomes and relationships. Our therapists work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, seeing an average of 5 to 7 patients each day, which ensures you can dedicate ample time to each individual's treatment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist with us, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough orthopedic assessments to establish the baseline for patient recovery and create tailored treatment plans.
• Employing evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities to promote patients' recovery while preventing future injuries.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, surgeons, and occupational therapists to coordinate care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's health are addressed.
• Participating in case reviews and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Providing education to patients and their families on body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and exercises to perform at home.
• Documenting patient evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes to comply with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Staying informed on the latest trends and advancements in orthopedic physical therapy and interdisciplinary practices to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists work primarily with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries such as fractures, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. We emphasize a hands-on, patient-centered approach that prioritizes individualized care strategies and involves patients actively in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A current physical therapy license in good standing in the State of New Jersey.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in orthopedic or musculoskeletal rehabilitation settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a diverse healthcare team.
• Proficiency in implementing manual therapy techniques and developing therapeutic exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• A doctoral or master's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Additional certifications in orthopedic specialties, such as Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or manual therapy credentials.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
