Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct weekly virtual counseling sessions with clients, focusing on their individual needs and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize effective, culturally sensitive, and ethical practices to address clients’ mental health challenges, ensuring they feel supported and valued.

• Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights, discuss patient care strategies, and collaborate on treatment planning.

• Administer cognitive assessments and provide therapy for geriatric patients experiencing dementia and other cognitive impairments.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, integrating clinical assessment findings and evidence-based practices.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress within our electronic health records system, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through feedback and participation in training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on geriatric patients, specifically those experiencing complex mental health needs related to aging, including dementia and cognitive decline. This role will require building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and their families to support their emotional and psychological well-being through effective counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is required.

• Current licensure in the District of Columbia as LPC, LICSW, or LMFT is mandatory.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems or a willingness to learn new software efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 80,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
