Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities and rehabilitation needs through comprehensive intake evaluations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and continuously modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy techniques to facilitate recovery.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, offering guidance and support to help them achieve their personal goals.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain thorough records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education to patients and families about home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications that support ongoing health improvements.
• Engage in regular consultations with other health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Stay updated with advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in continuous professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with geriatric patients, typically 65 years and older, who may be experiencing a range of conditions requiring physical rehabilitation. These may include post-surgical recovery, stroke rehabilitation, arthritis management, and age-related mobility challenges. Our goal is to provide not just treatment but also education and encouragement, enabling patients to lead more active and fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in geriatric physical therapy or a related setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities and treatment techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centric approach.

Compensation and Benefits
