Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient’s diverse trauma history, aiding in the development of focused, individualized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma, cultivating effective coping strategies, and fostering resilience.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive care plan for each patient, ensuring they receive integrative support.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients have access to timely resources.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, promoting understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards, ensuring continuity of care and compliance.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care strategies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, applying new insights to enhance patient treatment and care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client population, primarily consisting of individuals affected by trauma, including veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and those experiencing PTSD. Your clinical expertise will directly contribute to improving the mental health and well-being of these individuals, guiding them on their path to recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California is necessary for this role.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to treatment.

• Strong ability to remain composed during high-stress situations and provide support to patients in crisis.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and willingness to engage with digital tools for patient management.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
