In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality rehabilitative care to patients in an onsite rehabilitation center. Work Environment

The center operates Monday through Friday, with a structured 40-hour work week to allow for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans for patients referred by physicians, addressing their unique orthopedic needs.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities, applying evidence-based practices in treatment interventions to enhance efficacy and patient satisfaction.
• Provide skilled therapeutic care within the center, working closely with physical therapy aides and other healthcare professionals to foster effective patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation exercises, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention strategies to ensure understanding and compliance with treatment protocols.
• Document patient progress thoroughly and regularly to meet regulatory standards and organizational goals while adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate actively in team meetings and continuous education sessions to cultivate a culture of learning and improvement within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient demographic will primarily include adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will have the opportunity to engage with various patient cases, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of individuals at different stages of recovery. Your role will be pivotal in guiding patients toward achieving their functional goals and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in electronic medical records and physical therapy documentation.
• The ability to build rapport with patients to help them meet and exceed their recovery goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and geriatric patients.
• Hands-on experience with specialized therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or dry needling.
• Previous involvement in community health initiatives or patient education programs is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
