Work Environment

This position will be predominantly onsite within a school facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where the Nurse Practitioner will work directly with students and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments for students, identifying physical, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, giving particular attention to preventive care strategies such as immunizations and health screenings.
• Develop, implement, and oversee health education programs tailored to the specific needs of students and their families, focusing on nutrition, physical fitness, and mental health awareness.
• Collaborate with community organizations to ensure students have access to necessary resources, including specialized healthcare services.
• Provide culturally competent care, maintaining advocacy for students' rights and their access to appropriate healthcare services.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records per regulatory standards, enabling efficient communication and continuity of care.
• Participate in community outreach activities, including health fairs and informational seminars, to raise awareness about health issues affecting the student population.
• Stay abreast of community health trends and changes in healthcare policies to continually enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and an active state nursing license in New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, ranging from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000 annually.
