Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' historical and current experiences of trauma, subsequently developing tailored treatment modalities based on these evaluations.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and the development of resilience skills.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate support groups aimed at equipping patients with coping strategies and community support systems to aid in their recovery journey.

• Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support when patients experience trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Educate patients and their support systems on trauma responses, resilience-building techniques, and available resources, enhancing their understanding and coping abilities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.

• Strong knowledge base regarding trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed intervention strategies.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor in all patient interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
