Full-Time Home Care Physical Therapist

Position Overview

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapists to join our team at Body Orthopedic Pain Management, Inc. in Long Beach, California. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in the comfort of their homes. The anticipated salary range for this position is USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to competitive compensation for skilled professionals.

Work Environment

This role will be onsite, working primarily in patients' homes, allowing you to provide direct and impactful care in a familiar environment that can enhance recovery and rehabilitation outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans surrounding patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy treatments to minimize disability, relieve pain, and improve muscle function, in alignment with the patient's prescribed care plan.
• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations of client's functional capabilities to tailor therapy interventions effectively.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of services, ensuring adherence to the treatment protocol and state regulations.
• Assess and recommend adjustments to home environments to facilitate clients' independence and rehabilitation process.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy techniques, functional activities, traction, and massage.
• Make evaluations and modifications to prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, ensuring optimal client comfort and function.
• Contribute actively to interdisciplinary team discussions, treatment planning, and patient evaluations to offer holistic approaches to care.
• Document and maintain accurate clinical records, reporting all necessary information in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate clients and their families on therapy devices utilization and safe self-management strategies to promote adherence to care plans.
• Engage in community resource evaluations to further support clients' needs.

Our patient population encompasses individuals with diverse orthopaedic conditions and varying levels of functionality, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating after injuries. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in California.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience, preferably in acute or home care settings.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance to facilitate home-based visits.
• Strong commitment to delivering clinical excellence and quality patient care.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and agency regulations impacting therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a home healthcare or hospice environment.
• Proven ability to develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Expertise in managing a wide range of orthopedic conditions.
