Work Environment

This position is predominantly onsite , as you'll be providing therapy in clients' homes across South River, New Jersey, and surrounding areas. The unique setting allows for personalized interactions with patients and the ability to assess their home environment, ensuring treatments are practical and effective. Flexibility is key in this role, as you will have the autonomy to select your working hours within the Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or experiencing chronic conditions within their home setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include exercises, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain and promote mobility.
• Continuously assess patient progress, document treatments, and adjust goals and plans as necessary.
• Train patients, caregivers, and families on assistive devices and therapeutic practices for self-care and ambulation.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field through workshops, publications, and professional networking.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse patient population, including children and adults with varying diagnoses. Your expertise will cater to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Delivering therapy in a home setting allows for a unique relationship-building opportunity, where you can assess and adapt your techniques to fit the specific needs of each patient in their daily environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient and family interaction.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care or a residential setting is an advantage.

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation between USD 100,000 and 120,000 , accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
