Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Telehealth Specialist

Position Overview

Hope Care and Counseling Center is seeking passionate and licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dedicated team in a full-time, remote capacity. As a key member of our outpatient psychiatric office, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, ensuring that mental and emotional health needs are met through evidence-based interventions. Work Environment

This position allows for flexible scheduling through a telehealth platform, enabling our counselors to conduct sessions from the comfort of their home, while adapting to patient needs. With a strong commitment to work-life balance, our typical schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patient needs and formulate personalized treatment plans, utilizing tools such as diagnostic interviews and standardized assessment scales.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused strategies, to effectively support individuals, couples, and families during therapy sessions.
• Facilitate engaging psychoeducational groups focused on topics such as stress management and coping strategies, fostering community and shared learning among participants.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, enhancing treatment outcomes through teamwork.
• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support to patients experiencing mental health emergencies, demonstrating poise and critical thinking under pressure.
• Educate patients on mental health conditions and available treatment options, ensuring they are empowered to make informed decisions about their care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to ethical standards and legal requirements in a digital documentation system.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training opportunities to remain current with evolving best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York state.
• Solid understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in telehealth counseling or remote therapy delivery is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will enhance operational efficiency.
• Experience leading group therapy sessions or psychoeducational workshops is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 and 130,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
