Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that accurately evaluate patients' trauma histories and mental health needs.

• Collaborate with each patient to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and ongoing support.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process their trauma and learn effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated patient care that includes medication management and therapy.

• Provide crisis intervention during emergencies related to trauma, ensuring immediate and effective responses.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources for additional support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical regulations.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to remain current with trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals who have experienced trauma, which may manifest in various forms such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and related mental health issues. Our diverse clientele includes adults, adolescents, and families seeking specialized assistance in overcoming the impacts of traumatic experiences. We recognize each individual's unique journey and strive to provide a distinctly supportive therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy.

• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Demonstrated experience in administering trauma-focused therapies, showing a clear methodology for patient recovery.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling a compassionate and understanding approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications for documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma-informed care settings or crisis intervention will be given preference. Familiarity with providing telehealth services and innovative digital solutions in mental health therapy is highly valued as well.

Compensation and Benefits\n
