Work Environment\n

As a remote telehealth specialist, you will engage with clients through secure digital platforms, conducting assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-ups via video conferencing. Our operational hours extend from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating clients' trauma histories to develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create and enact individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, integrating evidence-based methodologies.

• Utilize therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients in processing their trauma and equipping them with effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, employing specific techniques to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, interpreting behaviors and reactions, and sharing valuable resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, multidisciplinary team meetings, and continuous professional development focused on trauma-informed care and methodologies.

• Stay current with research and best practices in trauma therapy to refine your skills and therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes, but is not limited to, survivors of abuse, accidents, and natural disasters. By providing specialized care, you will play an essential role in helping clients reclaim their lives and navigate challenges associated with their trauma.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience with a strong focus on trauma-informed care.

• A comprehensive understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, effectively guiding clients through critical moments.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable using digital applications for therapy purposes.

• Willingness to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, sharing insights and strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
