Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat, helping clients enhance their mental health and well-being.
• Facilitating discussions for clients to explore and express their emotions, guiding them to develop deeper self-awareness and insights into their relationships.
• Advocating for client needs and supporting them in defining and pursuing their personal goals for mental health improvement.
• Assessing clients' mental conditions and formulating tailored treatment plans using evidence-based and solution-focused approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve at Conviva Care Counseling Center are stable adults, carefully screened prior to receiving services. These individuals typically present with low-acuity mental health concerns, allowing you to provide focused and effective counseling without the pressures associated with severe mental health crises. We match counselors with clients based on specialties and demographic preferences to ensure a productive and rewarding therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Licensing: Full licensure in good standing to practice independently in New Jersey as one of the following:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a sympathetic nature, and the ability to effectively communicate. Candidates must also be proficient in technology and virtual platforms used for counseling.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in a telehealth setting or providing therapy online is preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies and a history of working with adults in a therapeutic context will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
