Work Environment

The position is full-time and primarily involves onsite work in patients' homes throughout Richmond. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of each patient to assess their physical condition and determine appropriate therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician orders.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic modalities tailored to the individual needs of the patient, focusing on achieving realistic functional goals.

• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, providing detailed records of evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in clinical software.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), to optimize patient outcomes through comprehensive care strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based practices to determine the effectiveness of therapies and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on patient responses and progress.

• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, ensuring that patient care standards are met and that the treatment environment remains conducive to healing.

• Engage in the ongoing professional development of your team and contribute constructive feedback to improve organizational practices and patient care solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population reflects a diverse range of conditions including, but not limited to, post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, neurological disorders, and orthopedic rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist at Peak Performance Physical Therapy, you will be instrumental in assessing functional limitations and designing rehabilitation strategies that not only address injury recovery but also enhance patients' overall mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and healthcare team members.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related software for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a physical therapy setting is preferred, with a strong emphasis on home care or community health environments. Familiarity with a variety of physical therapy treatment modalities and a commitment to ongoing professional education will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
