Position Overview

Springleaf Healthcare & PT Services is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team in Keyport, New Jersey. As a Physical Therapist here, you will work on-site, engaging directly with patients and their families to facilitate effective rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, implementing, and directing individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring function in clients.
• Supervising Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and guiding them to ensure that the treatment plans are executed effectively and safely.
• Assessing clients' functional abilities using advanced diagnostic tests related to muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Conducting environmental assessments to facilitate home rehabilitation, offering recommendations to enhance client independence.
• Providing physical therapy services in accordance with physician prescriptions, including administering therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other treatments.
• Evaluating and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices, making modifications as necessary, and documenting these changes for the physician.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and adapt care strategies as needed.
• Engaging with clients and their families by providing education and training on therapy devices and overall care plans.
• Completing a thorough assessment at the onset of care and regularly reevaluating the effectiveness of treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, and sports-related injuries. You will engage with a diverse clientele of varying ages and backgrounds, all of whom deserve personalized, compassionate care tailored to their rehabilitation goals. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in good standing within the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and adequate automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence and integrity in patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy, particularly in an acute care or home care setting, is required, candidates with additional experience working with orthopedic patients or those who have specialized training in manual therapy techniques will be highly regarded.
