Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our outpatient office in Richmond, Virginia. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and resources to support your practice. You will encounter a collaborative atmosphere where ideas are shared openly among interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to create comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities, establishing evidence-based treatment objectives in collaboration with referring physicians.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities that address the specific functional goals of each patient.

• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes and compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Provide direct patient care while supervising physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, ensuring they contribute effectively to patient healing and recovery.

• Engage with patients and their families to educate them about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies to improve wellness and manage symptoms at home.

• Collaborate with team members during daily rounds to discuss patient progress, rehabilitation strategies, and any emerging patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic pain conditions, and patients involved in sports-related injuries. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in their rehabilitation journey, allowing them to regain function and improve their quality of life. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and modalities, as well as electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits
