Empath Behavioral Services is seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or PsyD) for a full-time, remote teletherapy position. This role offers the unique opportunity to conduct therapeutic sessions with clients from the comfort of your own home while making a positive impact on their mental health and well-being. We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000, along with a sign-on bonus of $3,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients through video chat, focusing on improving mental well-being and guiding them to develop essential coping strategies.
• Encourage clients to explore emotions and share personal experiences to cultivate self-awareness and understanding of interpersonal relationships.
• Advocate for clients by helping them establish clear treatment goals that align with their personal needs and aspirations.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health conditions and formulate tailored treatment plans utilizing a solution-focused approach.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation, ensuring all notes are comprehensive and up to date through our streamlined counselor portal.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will consist exclusively of pre-screened clients who are stable adults and present low-acuity mental health conditions. We take special care to ensure that we do not assign clients with severe mental health issues, allowing you to focus on providing effective treatment strategies that cater to your areas of expertise. Moreover, we allocate clients based on your preferences regarding demographics and specialties, ensuring a closer alignment between your interests and your work.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster trust and rapport with clients.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor that is essential in promoting a supportive therapeutic environment.
• Strong organizational abilities and time management skills and the capacity to handle a diverse client caseload efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, or trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with administrative duties related to billing and insurance intake processes.
