Work Environment\n

This role involves providing mental health services remotely, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while still engaging in meaningful therapeutic practices. Our telehealth facility utilizes the latest technology to ensure that therapists can conduct therapy sessions seamlessly from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The working hours for this full-time position are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required by client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect the developmental stages of young clients as well as family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address a range of mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering caregivers and creating supportive home environments for children and adolescents.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, prioritizing the safety and well-being of youth in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, effective treatment options, and pertinent community resources.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of therapy sessions and assessments, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations, contributing insights and professional expertise to enhance team dynamics and outcomes.

• Stay updated on ongoing research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to continuously improve therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position predominantly focuses on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. As a therapist, you will play a pivotal role in helping these young individuals navigate their emotional distress and foster resilience, guiding them and their families through treatment, recovery, and achievement of their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating your expertise in child and adolescent mental health care.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders affecting children and adolescents, along with a solid foundation in therapeutic modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and family therapy sessions for young clients, showcasing your ability to engage effectively with this population.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially in building rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong computer skills to enhance workflows.

• A collaborative spirit and the capacity to work within a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
