Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to provide high-quality therapy from the comfort of your own home while also engaging with our outpatient office team in McAllen as needed. The standard work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patients’ needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments, focusing on patients' trauma histories, to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to process trauma and collectively explore coping strategies, fostering an open dialogue among patients regarding their experiences.
\n
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention in trauma-related emergencies, offering support and strategies during critical moments.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, treatment options, and local resources, promoting informed engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accurate records for therapeutic progress and planning.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and case consultations to foster a collaborative approach to trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and face various types of trauma. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping individuals who have experienced PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders regain their sense of agency and harness skills to navigate their emotional and psychological challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited university.

• Current and valid licensure in Texas as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to effectively handle crisis situations with composure and professionalism.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, strong candidates seeking to leverage their skills in trauma-focused therapy will be considered. Experience in delivering evidence-based trauma therapies is highly valued, particularly with interventions that align with our mission.

Compensation and Benefits\n
