This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you can effectively engage with our patients and team members. You will work from the comfort of your home, utilizing technology to connect with clients and share resources. Despite the remote nature of the position, you will be actively engaged with our collaborative outpatient team, participating in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, needs, and readiness for treatment.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans designed to promote recovery and resilience in alignment with best practices.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to offer patients effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that provide space for patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and thorough documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care, continuously updating knowledge of current research and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with adults and adolescents who have experienced trauma. Many of whom may be dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will guide them through their healing journey with individualized care that reflects their unique experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, with an understanding of resilience-building strategies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, ideally with a focus on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
