Work Environment

This position is an onsite role within a home care setting, where you will engage with patients in their own environments, allowing for personalized evaluations and treatments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to understand their specific orthopedic needs and devise personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload effectively, providing individualized attention and care to patients with one-on-one appointments each hour.
• Implement therapeutic interventions that enhance range of motion and mobility, with a particular focus on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize various treatment techniques, including manual therapy and tailored exercise routines, to improve patient outcomes.
• Track and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of each patient.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care services provided and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, involving healthcare professionals from various fields to optimize patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment process, reinforcing the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
• Guide patients in reducing reliance on medications, exploring non-surgical options for pain management and mobility improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients who are seeking to regain functionality after injury or surgery. This includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, older adults undergoing rehabilitation post-fracture, or individuals managing chronic pain conditions. Our practice is committed to delivering tailored interventions that cater to a diverse array of patient needs to promote effective healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possess a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Maintain a clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions or investigations.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the creation of personalized exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with WebPT or similar EMR software for patient documentation and record management.
• Effective communication skills for both patient interactions and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in delivering evidence-based interventions that address a diverse range of orthopedic conditions.
• Experience in developing and implementing customized fitness and rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
