Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting each stage from intake through treatment.

• Design and implement effective intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups by integrating the latest advancements in psychotherapy.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open dialogue and growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs and experiences.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care strategies.

• Manage client referrals and coordinate care for those admitted to hospitals, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that could impede clients' recovery, offering targeted support and strategies to enable healing.

• Engage with family members and primary caregivers to equip them with tools to navigate mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds dealing with a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and addiction disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will work closely with these individuals, guiding them through their unique healing journeys. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California is required.

• A pass score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor that fosters trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, particularly with individuals experiencing dual diagnoses or complex psychological conditions.

• A solid understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications and their role in effective treatment plans.

• A familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
