Work Environment

The position is based in Leesburg, Virginia, and involves working directly with patients at their residences. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic illnesses.
• Employ various therapeutic methods, including exercise prescriptions, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, implementing modifications to treatment plans based on observed effectiveness and patient feedback.
• Train patients, caregivers, and family members in therapeutic techniques and the use of assistive devices to encourage independence and safety in daily activities.
• Maintain professional expertise by engaging in continuing education opportunities, attending workshops, and participating in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and elderly clients, each facing unique physical challenges due to injuries, surgeries, or chronic health conditions. Your empathetic approach will be critical in fostering trust and enabling effective communication, which is fundamental in monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment methods accordingly.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of Virginia.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software for documentation and treatment planning.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of patients in a home care setting.

Preferred Experience

While we require a minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, we are open to exceptional new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Prior experience in home care settings or with geriatric populations is a plus, as it will enhance the quality of our services.

Compensation and Benefits
