Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s trauma history and establish appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy settings.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate support and guidance during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources that support healing.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops focused on trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals dealing with trauma-related mental health issues within a school environment. This includes children and adolescents facing multifaceted challenges stemming from traumatic experiences, aiming to foster their emotional well-being and academic success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a strong focus on trauma-informed care.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, grounded in empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

Compensation and Benefits\n
