Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for:

• Conducting initial evaluations to assess patients’ mental health needs and diagnosing any psychological disorders.

• Developing comprehensive, customized treatment plans aimed at addressing individual patient goals and circumstances.

• Facilitating therapy sessions, providing support for trauma recovery, and guiding patients through coping strategies to manage emotional challenges.

• Educating patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and wellness practices to encourage holistic growth.

• Monitoring patient progress through regular follow-ups and adjusting treatment plans based on patient needs and therapeutic responses.

• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and community support services, to ensure holistic care delivery.

• Engaging in professional development activities, including continuing education courses, to maintain licensure and remain informed on best practices in Mental Health Counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Mentro Point Counseling Center specializes in treating patients who have experienced various forms of trauma. This includes individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related emotional challenges. Our counselors work closely with patients to help them navigate their unique experiences, tailoring approaches to foster recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

• A minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with trauma patients in a clinical setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and demonstrated experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in Salesforce for patient management and familiarity with community referral systems will be considered favorably. Experience in creating and delivering educational workshops or resources for patients can also set applicants apart.
