Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to provide patients with a supportive environment for processing trauma and developing effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing a calm demeanor to guide patients through immediate distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, equipping them with knowledge and resources to aid recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health records (EHR) systems for seamless record-keeping.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with patients experiencing trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociation. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma responses and the ability to adapt strategies effectively to meet varied needs, ensuring that each patient receives an individualized approach to healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n
