Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our outpatient office in Bergenfield, New Jersey, where you will collaborate with a team of like-minded healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art physical therapy technology, providing you with the best tools available to support patient recovery and rehabilitation. Staff enjoy a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, which fosters a work-life balance while allowing for ample time to dedicate to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients based on initial evaluations and ongoing assessments, ensuring that care aligns with both the patients' goals and orthopedic best practices.
• Engage in effective communication with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and update them on progress, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient treatment and progress using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, adhering to regulatory standards.
• Utilize your clinical expertise to independently assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of orthopedic conditions while continually adapting treatment techniques for optimal results.
• Regularly evaluate patient outcomes, modifying treatment strategies as needed to enhance functional recovery and overall well-being.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding physical therapy practices, ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest ethical standards in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adults and seniors experiencing orthopedic issues, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, and age-related conditions. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each demographic will be key in tailoring the therapy approach to foster quicker recovery times and improve overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; candidates with a Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are strongly preferred.
• Possession of a valid and active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is required, demonstrating proficiency in evaluation and treatment of orthopedic patients.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment and development of individualized treatment plans specific to orthopedic conditions.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to relate effectively with both patients and the interdisciplinary medical team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse patient populations, specifically geriatrics and those in acute rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with current orthopedic treatment techniques and rehabilitation protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
