Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, to address each patient’s unique needs.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed treatments and adjust plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers and other team members to deliver integrated care, addressing both mental and physical health needs.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives designed to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma.
• Deliver counseling and psychoeducation to patients and their families, empowering them to understand their conditions and treatment.
• Ensure the confidentiality of patient records by adhering to HIPAA guidelines and maintaining accurate documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at New York Family Medicine PC, you will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric specialization.

Compensation and Benefits
