Work Environment

This position is an onsite role, primarily based in the field as part of our home care services in Morristown, NJ. You will visit patients in their homes, fostering personalized interactions that enhance recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations through clinical assessments, to develop tailored rehabilitation programs.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and healthcare providers, to ensure cohesive patient care and continuity throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic exercises and modalities that align with current best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, expected outcomes, and home exercises to support recovery.
• Document treatment details meticulously in both written and electronic formats while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Supervise and support assigned staff, including physical therapy assistants and aides, helping them to develop their clinical skills and adhere to operational protocols.
• Participate actively in community outreach efforts and in-service training, enhancing departmental functions and promoting therapeutic services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients ranging from young athletes recovering from injuries to older adults managing chronic conditions. You will engage with a diverse clientele, tailoring care approaches to meet the specific needs and cultural sensitivities of each patient.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient education and interprofessional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professional responsibility.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home care or outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
