Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for young patients, taking into account their developmental stages and family dynamics to ensure meaningful and effective interventions.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a variety of mental health concerns, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to guide parents and caregivers in establishing a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for their children.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists and social workers, guaranteeing a comprehensive and integrated care experience for the patients.

• Provide urgent crisis intervention services to address mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to distressing situations.

• Educate children and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Maintain meticulous, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, promoting accountability and transparency.

• Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations to foster collaboration, share insights, and ensure continuity of care for patients.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health, actively incorporating this knowledge into your therapeutic work.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents, informing the treatment planning process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on assisting children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. You will be instrumental in providing a safe and empathetic space for these young individuals, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are validated.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or related fields is required.
\n
• Current state licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or LMFT is mandatory. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants with an associates license as they are not billable through Medicare.
\n
• Deep understanding of childhood and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment modalities are essential.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy to young individuals is crucial for success in this role.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a child-centered approach, are fundamental to building trust with patients and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications is required for effective documentation and patient management.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is essential to provide integrated care to our young clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a community health clinic or similar setting, working specifically with children and adolescents is favored.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices is advantageous.
