Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your schedule while still providing essential care to our young clients. Our outpatient office fosters a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where therapists and psychiatrists work hand-in-hand to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient requirements to ensure accessibility and timely support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique developmental stages and family contexts of the patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, drawing on established practices to effectively address mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at involving parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process, fostering a nurturing home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, coordinated care that considers all aspects of the patient's life.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the young individuals.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This may include but is not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive episodes, ADHD symptoms, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license in New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist.

• A minimum of two years' experience in a post-licensure capacity is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in mental health therapy.

• Solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic strategies.

• Experience providing both individual and family therapy to adolescents and their families.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate and child-focused therapeutic approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• A collaborative mindset, working effectively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
