Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their specific needs and challenges.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy to address a variety of mental health disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective support for young clients.

• Educate children and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and valuable community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and continue to pursue professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children and adolescents facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. You will play a crucial role in addressing these concerns while helping to improve the overall emotional and psychological well-being of our young clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including the most effective evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Prior experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on a compassionate, child-centered approach.
\n
• Proven ability to establish rapport and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in basic computer applications.
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, specifically with children and adolescents.
