Spring Mountain Counseling Services is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Joliet, Illinois. This full-time position, primarily remote with some in-office requirements, focuses on providing compassionate and specialized mental health care for individuals impacted by trauma.

Work Environment\n

The position allows for a blend of remote work and time spent in our supportive outpatient office setting. While the primary working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be needed based on the requirements of our patients. • Conducting thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient’s trauma history, ensuring the development of individualized treatment plans.

• Creating and implementing tailored treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery, incorporating approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and build resilience.
\n
• Working closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to integrate care effectively, ensuring a holistic approach to each patient's treatment.
\n
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating both patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to them.
\n
• Maintaining precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.

• Remaining updated on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of clients affected by trauma, encompassing both adult and adolescent groups. Your focus will be on fostering healing and resilience in patients overcoming long-standing traumatic experiences. Each individual's treatment plan will be tailored to address their unique circumstances, culture, and needs.

Qualifications\n

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and proven expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.
\n
• The ability to remain calm and focused in high stress and emergency situations.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we highly value any experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Being well-versed in resilience-building practices will also be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, our benefits package includes:
