Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Professional Counselor will take on various essential roles, including but not limited to:

• Managing a diverse caseload, establishing rapport, and fostering positive, therapeutic relationships with clients while adhering to all professional ethics and boundaries.
• Conducting regular sessions with clients to assess progress, discuss stability, and plan for future appointments, including potential discharges when appropriate.
• Developing and customizing person-centered treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs and challenges, and regularly monitoring their effectiveness.
• Keeping comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, including progress notes, treatment updates, and intake assessments for each client.
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions and participating in individual supervision to maintain high standards of care.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and holistic treatment approaches for clients.
• Embracing a growth mindset to constantly improve handling of clinical cases and enhancing professional skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on youth clients, including adolescents who may be dealing with various mental health challenges. The counselor will provide compassionate support aimed at promoting resilience, stability, and overall mental wellness. Working closely with families, our clinicians are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and healing.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in mental health or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• Proven ability to meet internal credentialing requirements within relevant clinical settings.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or substance abuse populations.
• Prior experience in conducting thorough assessments, diagnosis, and delivering effective individual and group therapy sessions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using technology for client management and documentation, including basic keyboarding skills.

Compensation and Benefits
