Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments, leveraging structured interviews and standardized assessments to develop individualized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique cultural and personal backgrounds of patients, incorporating modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, aiming to address diverse mental health concerns and foster resilience and well-being among patients. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and primary care providers—to ensure coordinated and comprehensive treatment strategies. Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, utilizing assessment tools to determine risk level and appropriate resources. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development, including cultural competency workshops and evidence-based practice discussions. Patient Population / Client Focus Barwon Mental and Behavioral Services is committed to serving a diverse array of patients. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas. In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, effective treatment strategies, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy. Experience delivering both individual and group therapy utilizing approaches that honor cultural diversity and inclusion. Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with the ability to stabilize patients during acute episodes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to connect effectively with clients, their families, and other professionals. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms to enhance patient care. A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times. Preferred Experience Experience working with multicultural populations in a mental health setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a proactive stance toward continuing education and skill enhancement. Previous experience in a telehealth environment, showcasing adaptability to virtual therapy modalities. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
