Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and medical histories to develop individualized treatment plans based on physician directives.

• Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring movement, enhancing function, and alleviating pain through a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, exercise, and modalities.

• Maintain accurate patient records, including progress notes, treatment history, and discharge summaries that reflect skilled therapeutic necessity and support billing processes.

• Monitor and assess the efficacy of treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Coordinate patient care by actively communicating with other healthcare professionals, providing insights and suggestions to enhance treatment efficiency and effectiveness.

• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff involved in delivering patient care, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and quality standards.

The Physical Therapist role primarily serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical rehabilitation, and age-related conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.

• Current licensure in the State of Virginia to practice as a Physical Therapist.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records systems and word processing software to maintain patient documentation is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
