Mercy Vale Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking an experienced Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in providing comprehensive therapeutic services to clients in Aurora, Illinois. You will utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and develop effective treatment plans for clients facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. This role involves remote patient interactions through our telehealth platform, allowing for flexibility while ensuring continuous support for our clients.

As a member of our remote workforce, you will engage with clients from the comfort of your own location, utilizing telehealth technology to conduct sessions. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients’ mental health status through virtual consultations, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and aligned with their individual needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to encourage positive behavioral changes.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress through ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effectiveness.

• Coordinate care with other healthcare providers, including making referrals to specialists like psychiatrists when medication management is indicated.

• Document all interactions and treatment updates in Electronic Health Records (EHR) to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and ensure seamless communication with the care team.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques and solutions-focused conversations to assist clients in distress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults who are navigating the complexities of mental health disorders. Your client base may include individuals dealing with substance use issues, mood disorders, trauma, or behavioral problems, each necessitating tailored therapeutic approaches. Understanding the distinct needs and cultural nuances of these populations is vital to delivering effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and evidenced-based interventions tailored to individual and group therapy settings.

• Advanced understanding of mental health disorders and a commitment to providing culturally informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
