Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each client’s unique trauma history and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide individual and group therapy sessions.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for clients to process trauma and develop vital coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Offer timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating composure under pressure.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, resilience, and coping mechanisms, empowering them through shared knowledge.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation that meets all legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, you will primarily work with a diverse client population suffering from trauma-related disorders. This includes individuals who have experienced PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will directly contribute to improving their psychological well-being and aiding their recovery journey through specialized therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Oregon.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a non-judgmental and empathetic approach to client care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
